PTT Bridge
See what I see. In your language.
PTT Bridge streams what you see and say from Mentra Live smart glasses, or from a phone or webcam, into a PTT chat or a live player. Everyone watching reads your words in their own language, and you hear their replies, translated, through the glasses' speakers.
How it works
Glasses on. Hands free. Everyone understands.
- 1
Pair your glasses
Connect Mentra Live glasses to the PTT Bridge app on your Android phone.
- 2
Bridge them to a chat
Start a Glasses Bridge in a PTT chat, or feed a live player for a bigger audience.
- 3
Talk and look around
Viewers see your view and read your words in their language. Their replies are translated and played in your ears.
The hardware
No screen on your face. No problem.
Mentra Live glasses don't have a display, and PTT doesn't need one. Their camera shows people where you are, their microphones hear what you say, and their speakers bring the answers back in your language.
- Camera: point-of-view video and photos with a tap.
- Microphones: your words are captioned and translated for every viewer.
- Speakers: replies come back translated and spoken out loud, just for you.
- Your phone runs PTT Bridge, and photos and GPS pins land in the chat timeline.
Why only Mentra?
They make the only smart glasses with an open-source SDK, the best hardware we've worn and the most bang for the buck. Other glasses makers are welcome to open up. We'll wait.

FAQ
PTT Bridge questions.
What is PTT Bridge?
PTT Bridge is our phone app. It connects Mentra Live smart glasses to PTT chats and live players, so people can see what you see and read what you say in their own language.
Can I read the chat on the glasses?
No. Mentra Live glasses don't have a display. They have a camera, microphones and speakers: you talk and look around, the people watching read along on their own screens, and you hear their replies, translated, through the glasses' speakers.
Which smart glasses work with PTT Bridge?
Mentra Live. They're the only smart glasses with an open-source SDK, and they pair excellent hardware with a sensible price.
Do I need glasses at all?
No. You can also stream from a phone camera or a webcam. The glasses just keep your hands free.
Is there an iPhone version?
PTT Bridge is available for Android today, in early access directly from us. App store versions for Android and iOS are on the way.
Do viewers need anything special?
Just a browser. They watch in a PTT chat or a live player and pick their own language.
